Storyboard Text

  • This last egg has finally hatched! Time to go to the farm to eat.
  • Quack, Quack!
  • Come along ducklings, lets go eat!
  • I do not like that ugly duckling. I will not feed him.
  • Or lay eggs like me?
  • Ugly duckling can you raise your back or purr like me?
  • No I can't do either.
  • Once upon a time there was a mother duck who was sitting patiently on top of her baby ducklings eggs for all of them to hatch. At last all the eggs, including the biggest one, who was known as the ugly duckling. He didn't fit in with all the rest. The ugly duckling to the longest to hatch but the mother duckling waited until he did.
  • You poor ugly duckling, you must be so cold out here all alone!
  • After all the ducklings hatched, the mother duckling took them all to be fed by the girl on the farm down from the pond. But the other animals and the girl did  not like the ugly duckling and so he ran away.
  • Can we hold the ugly duckling please!
  • He must be so frightened by all of us! Let me take care of him.
  • Finally the duckling came across a small house who housed an old woman, her cat and chicken. The cat and chicken didn't like the duckling because he wasn't like them. The laughed at him  for wanting to swim on the pond, so he left to find some water to swim in.
  • I am so happy I am no longer ugly!
  • While swimming on the pond it was getting colder outside and eventually the ugly duckling was frozen in the ice of the water. After freezing there for awhile a peasant came along and found the poor ugly duckling and took him back to where he lived with his family.
  • But when the children wanted to play with him he was frightened because of how poorly he was treated in the past. When the peasants wife treated to calm him down he just became more frightened and ran ran away from them.
  • After running so much he became tired and went to rest by the pond, when suddenly he saw beautiful swans swiming around and when he went over to them so the can kill him, he looked down at his own reflection in the water and saw that he was a beautiful swan just like they were. The End.
