The teacher comes into class and puts on the board to turn in their homework to him. As the two other students turn in their homework, the teacher realizes that Jack is gone when he was just here a minute ago.
Jack has gone outside of the room to plant a flower instead of being in class and turning in his homework.
The teacher sees him outside with the flower planted in the ground, and asks him why he wasn't in class with his homework.
The teacher resumes class but Jack is off task thinking about the flower.
Jack goes back outside of the school early in the morning to check on the flower and the flower is dead because he didn't take care of it.
He then starts walking farther away from the school and finds lots of healthy flowers. He realizes that he needs to be taking care of the flower the way he should and still doing the things that he's responsible for like going to school.
