Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1755 and he had a two year old brother named James. They were born on a small British island named Nevis. His father left him at a very young age.
Hamilton's mother died when he was only 13! He was a boy alone.
Hamilton impressed Hugh Knox and sailed to America to continue his education.
In 1776, Hamilton became Captain of Provincial Company of Artillery and he fought in the Battle of Trenton.
In 1801, Hamilton helped Jefferson become President and his son, Philip, died in a duel.
In 1804, Hamilton was wounded by Aaron Burr in a duel and died the next day. There were two shots fired and either Van Ness or Pendleton yelled, "Present."
