  • Hey, I am worried about having a heart attack. Do you know some symptoms?
  • Well, a heart attack is when the blood flow to your heart is blocked. You might feel discomfort in your chest, upper body pain, shortness of breath, nausea, light headiness, cold sweats, and general discomfort.
  • Woa, that is a lot. I really hope I don't get a heart attack. If I get one, oh god, what about my family?
  • Well, it will affect them. But if you live a healthy lifestyle and get a heart attack still, it might show your family that heart attacks is a genetic thing and they might be at risk as well.
  • But I'm old!
  • The only things you can't control, to get a heart attack, are age, gender, and family history of heart attacks.
  • Every year 735,000 Americans have a heart attack. 1 in every 4 deaths in the US are from heart attacks. 92% of Americans recognized chest pains as a symptom 47% of hearth attacks occur outside of a hosptial.
  • No! People who are overweight, have diabetes, aren't physically active, drink a lot, smoke a lot, have hypertension, and have high cholesterol. People who do this have a higher chance of heart attacks.

  • A good reason to stay healthy.

  • Sort of, if you follow these rules your chances of heart attacks will go down. Control the things you can!
