  • Montag and Mildred sit in there house for the rest of the day. This is when Montag takes time to read the book he stole.
  • Part 2
  • SHUT UP!
  • The mechanical is snooping around the house of Montag and Mildred. Mildred thought of it as a reguslt dog lost in the war but Montag knew it was the mechanical hound.
  • Part 2
  • Stop I'll help.
  • Montag remembers Faber from the park and decides to call him. He asks Faber how many copies of the book there are left in the world. Faber answers "none" in a worried voice and hangs up immediately.
  • Part 2
  • On his way to Faber's, he hears a dental commercial that drives him crazy. He gets so mad that he stands up yelling "shut up" and waving his book around. People started calling the guards but Montag got off at the next stop.
  • Faber wouldn't help Montag out. Montag starts ripping pages out of the book because he knows that would kill Faber inside. After the tortures act, Faber agrees to help.
  • Montag was done being discouraged so he starts to read the poem Dover Beach by Mathew Arnold. Mrs.Phelps starts crying due to her loss of her husband who was killed in the war.
