Elizer's father. Shlomo remained with Elie throughout the time the two were in concentration camps. He died on January 29, not too long before the liberation of the camp him and his son were at at the time.
Narrator of Night. Arrived at first concentration camp in 1944 where he was separated from his mother and sister. He remained with his father for as long as possible until his father's death. After the camp was liberated, he left Buchenwald along with thousands of other children.
Moishe the Beadle
Tzipora was Eliezer's brother. Tzipora and her mother were separated from Shlomo and Eliezer upon their arrival at the concentration camp. She was condemned to death.
Sarah Feig was Elie Wiezel's mother. Along with Tzipora, she was separated from Elie and Shlomo at the concentration camp and was condemned to death.
Moishe the Beadle taught Elie Kabbalah. He, along with other foreign Jews, was taken from the village and forced to dig his own grave. He managed to escape and warned the village of what he saw. They assumed he was senile.
