Eris, goddess of discord, created an apple labeled,"The Fairest". Hera, Aphrodite, and Athene see the apple, and they all decide it is for themselves. They all argue, then turn to Zeus, who makes someone named Paris to decide. The three goddesses each offer something. Hera offered the rule of asia minor, Athene offered good luck in war, and Aphrodite offered a good looking woman. Paris gave the apple to APhrodite.
Paris then met Helen of Troy. As Aphrodite promised, Helen and Paris instantly fell deep into love. The thing is that Helen is already married to King Menelaus. Paris tried to run away with Helen. One thing led to another, then a war started between the Trojans and the Greeks.
The gods and goddesses try to meddle with the war, but Zeus isn't happy with it. He threatens to throw them in Tartarus if they even try to meddle. This makes Hera mad.
Near the middle of the war, Achillies brings up his child to Agememnon, demanding an apology for the terrible things he has done. Agememnon refuses to apologize, that is, until the messenger god tells him to apologize. Even then, Achillies refuded to accept the apology, stating that he is fighting for himself now, not Agememnon.
Patrclus, Achilles's friend, passed away while pretending to be Achillies in war. Achillies is upset, and decides to rejoin the war. Zeus predicted this a while back saying, "The only way Achillies will go back in combat is if his friend, Patroclus, dies."
The Trojans are plotting their revenge in the form of a Trojan Horse. They shove as many warriors in the horse as possible. The greeks see it as a gift, and put in within their walls. As night approached, they emerged from the horse. One man waved fire as a signal that it is safe to come in and attack.
