Storyboard Text

  • Phineas Gage, a normal man, had a metal rod penetrated his brain when he was blowing up the rocks at work.
  • It penetrated the frontal lobe and his left eye. Somehow, he was still able to speak and remain conscious after the explosion happened.
  • He was treated by Dr. Harlow, who tries his hardest to heal him, since this was a rare case where Phineas could easily get an infection with an open brain.
  • He had the case of a "open brain" injury. Miraculously, he was well after about a year.
  • When he returned home however, his friends and family knew he would never be the same
  • Although Phineas looked fine and acted fine as a person, he turned into somebody caring, and helpful, from the cold, pessimistic person he was before.
