  • Ever since king Henry VIII married Catherine of Arago, he had only wished that their first child would be a boy, but she failed giving birth to one instead she gave birth to a girl which made the king mad.

  • He went to the church to grant him a divorce but the church would not allow that because it was against God's will. So he decided England would leave the church.
  • I Queen Mary I order to imprison and kill all the protesters.
  • The Act of Supremacy was then declared which meant that King Henry VIII was the head of the church in England. It also gave him freedom to do what he wanted and greatly increased his wealth and power. Thats's how the English Reformation has started

  • As he is now head of the church he finally gets to marry Anne Boleyn and he hopes that his child is a boy so that he can inherit the throne.

  • Then a few years later King henry VIII daughter Mary Tudor became the queen of England and ruled for 5 years after she took the throne. Her main goal was to undo the English Reformation. She also ordered the imprisonment and killing of many of her protesters.

  • After the death of Queen Mary I, her younger half sister became Queen of England in 1558. She was a strong, confident leader and led England as a protestant country. She even defeated Spain and their armada.
