The Battle of Trenton took place in New Jersey, on December 26, 1776. George Washington wanted to win a battle due to the many losses against the British. The Patriots won th battle. The Battle of Princeton took place in Princeton New Jersey, on January 3, 1777. George Washington discussed whether to stay at Trenton, cross the river or go somewhere else. He decided to go to Princeton and attack the British.

The Battle of Valley Forge took place on September 17th, 1777. It was located at the southeastern corner of Pennsylvania.The troops faced a lot of hardships. There were no buildings for the army to use as barracks. When they arrived in December, the ground was covered in snow. George Washington was the commander of the Continental Army.

It was an engagement between American Colonial forces under Brigadier General Daniel Morgan and British forces under Sir Banastre Tarleton, as part of the campaign in the Carolinas. The Battle of Guildford Courthouse took place in Greensboro North Carolina on March 15, 1781. The British army attacked the Continental army but the Continental Army won.

The Battle of Yorktown was fought from September 28, 1781 - October 19, 1781. Charles Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington as French and American forces trapped the British at Yorktown. The British surrendered at the Battle of Yorktown. This ended the American Revolutionary War.
