Some natives joined the British side because they want to stop immigration and some joined the Patriots because of marriage and alliance.
Some Africans joined the British side because they promise freedom for the Africans and some joined the patriots for the same reason, however, most lied about it. They were used for dangerous missions like spying and they aren't given weapons because the patriots don't trust them since they could rebel at any time.
Most of the foreign born heroes of the revolution supported the troops with training and financial supports. They are Baron von Steuben, Marquis de Lafayette...
There are about 3 methods to spy on each other during the revolutionary war. They are secret codes, invisible ink, and hidden letters.
The basic weapons are the musket, pistol, bayonet, cannon, and close combat weapons. The soldiers are equipped with ammunition, guns, food, utensils, flints, canteen, and a knapsack. The liner tactic is a formation which everyone is in a strait line and fires at the same time. The guerilla tactic is like a sneak attack from the back or behind trees and rocks.
