The Battle of Brooklyn the 1st Major Battle of the Revolution. It was fought in Brooklyn and Long Island. The Patriots lost the battle but the British lost more men.

Trenton & Princeton A very difficult battle with horrible weather conditions. Victories for the Patriots that helped boost moral after the loss at the Battle of Brooklyn. These victories helped the Continental Army earn help from foreign countries.
The Battles of Saratoga Fought is two different locations (Freeman's Farm & Bemis Heights). Even though the British won it made them realize that this would not be an easy fight. It is a turning point in the war because this battle led France to form an alliance with the Patriots.
Valley Forge Patriot troops faced starvation, cold weather, disease & lack of resources. By the end of their stay at Valley Forge the Continental Army had become a well trained fighting force. Those that survived Valley Forge felt they since they could survive anything.
The Southern Campaign: Cowpens & Guilford Courthouse These battles were fought in North Carolina. The Continental Army won the battle at Cowpens and lost the battle at Guilford Courthouse. Once again the British had a lot of casualties during these battles.
The Battle/Siege of Yorktown The battle took place in Yorktown Virginia. It was the last major battle of the American Revolution. The Continental Army was victorious. The British suffered many casualties and the majority of the British cavalry died the battle.
