  • The Battle of Brooklyn
  • We will cut off New England from the other colonies!
  • The Battle of Trenton
  • But you have to fight!
  • It's too cold to get ME to do anything!
  • The Battle of Princeton
  • Hmmmmm...
  • Where'd they all go?
  • The Battle of Brooklyn started on August 27, 1776, because the British wanted to take over New York. The British won this battle.
  • The Battle of Saratoga
  • Down the Hudson we go!
  • The battle of Trenton was fought on December 26, 1776, to raise the morale of the soldiers. However, they refused to march in the terrible weather. The Americans won.
  • Valley Forge 
  • The pox has taken hold of me . . .
  • In the battle of Princeton, New Jersey became Patriot territory. Washington used this campfire trick to make the British believe they were still in their camp. The Americans won.
  • The Siege of Yorktown 
  • The French have cut off our resources! The scoundrels!
  • This battle was fought using the Hudson strategy which was coming down the river. These battle were fought on September 19, 1777, and on October 7, 1777.
  • The winter at Valley Forge was brutal and devastating. Over 2,500 troops dies from the harsh conditions. There was starvation, crowded camps, small pox and inadequate clothes.
  • I'm so hungry!
  • The siege of Yorktown was the last battle of The Revolutionary War. It began on September 28, 1781, and ended on October 19, 1781. George Washington surrounded the British with 16,000 soldiers.
