  •  Trenton and Princeton
  • We have to win this battle it is crucial!
  • The Battle of Saratoga
  • Wait till France hears the news of our win!!
  • Sure that will make them want to make them join the fight against Britain
  • British and American forces met on Long Island and engaged in The Battle of Brooklyn. During the battle the Continental Army had left a side of Brooklyn open. With this flaw in their plan and the British outnumbering the Americans, the British beat the Americans.
  •  Winter at Valley Forge
  • Come and get your blankets
  • The battles of Trenton and Princeton where two crucial battles that took place in the winter of 1776. During the battles George Washington took the Continental Army into victories. The wins at Trenton and Princeton helped boost the morale of the soldiers and increased the unity of the colonial armies and militias.

  • You and your troops have been surrounded surrender now!
  • At the Battle of Saratoga America's win was a turning point in the war. This battle proved to the French that America had a chance in winning the war

  • At Valley Forge the soldiers had a terrible winter. As the wife of a general, Martha Washington tended for the wounded and sick soldiers. George Washington vaccinated his soldiers which was very rare at the time and stayed with them unlike most generals who would leave.
  • Men it is time for your vaccines

  • General Cornwallis chose his base unwisely it could have been surrounded easily. George Washington and his troops took this advantage and surrounded Cornwallis and his troops making them surrender.

  • During the war some women helped the soldiers at military camps during the war. Lucy Flucker Knox was one of these women who helped out the soldiers. She would motivate the soldiers to fight their best and cheer them up through hard times.
