  • ACT 1 We know that Abigail is convincing three more girls to keep the mouth shut about the dancing in the woods. In this scene there is Abigail and Proctor, while Betty is resting. In this scene is when Proctor says that Betty is acting like she is in a witchcraft, and then we discovered that John and Abigail had a relationship. So, Abigail still is in love with John Proctor, and tries to seduce him, but he unequivocal rejects her. Now we realized that Abigail is prepared to do whatever to get rid of Elizabeth Proctor, who is John's wife. So we can see that Abigail is a smart and a cruel girl, that is willing to deal with whatever comes in her way to not to be guilty about the dance, and to get John Proctor. Therefore, Abigail tells John that she can tell to everyone what did he do, he was adultery, and she is so smart that she will be innocent, but John would be the guilty.
  • Act 2 In these scene there are  Reverend Hale, John Proctor, Elizabeth, Giles, Mr. Nurse, Mr. Cheever, Mary Warren. Hale entered the room with people from the court, to ask Elizabeth some about the statement of Abigail. Mary Warren sew a doll to apologize to Elizabeth Proctor, because her attitude wasn't the best, and in the court she sew it, next to her was Abigail that she saw how Mary Warren was sewing the doll.  Cheever came to take Elizabeth because she was accused for doing Voodoo against Abigail Williams. Elizabeth deny that, but when Hale saw the doll and inspects it, he discovers a needle stabbed in the same place that Abigail had stabbed a needle in her body. Elizabeth really angry, she said that that doll was from Mary Warren, but no one believes her, although Mary says that she did the doll and that Abigail saw her doing it.Even though she says that, Cheever takes Elizabeth as a guilt person. So, here the role of Abigail was to stab herself to make Cheever think that Elizabeth was doing Voodoo, she is cruel, and really smart. She can make people think whatever she wants.
  • Act 3 In these scene we can see an Abigail, apparently vulnerable, innocent. As we know Abigail is very good at manipulating people, and she does it so well that when she thinks she sees a creature to accuse Mary Warren that she is doing witchcraft, every girl that is with her, are completely sure that they are seeing a spirit.  She wants Mary to be in jail, just because she is an obstacle and she can say that was Abigail who convinced Tituba to do witchcraft, We can see the cruelty of Abigail because she did that every girl to be convince that they are seeing the bird, and she takes advantage that they are scared of spirits to get rid of Mary Warren.
