Hey You Guys! Miss. Laing here! I wanted to share with you guys my reading journey and why it is so important to read as much as you possibly can. Reading is one of the basic fundamentals of life.
When I was in school, I always got really good grades, always a honor roll student. I was really good at understanding the work and I always got my homework assignments done.
Some of my favorite books when I was in elementary school were: Junie B. Jones (I've read them all), Goosebumps!
I typically always read books either in my living room or in my room. Wherever was the most comfortable. My mother definitely always told me/ encouraged me to grab a book and read.
I distinctly remember being so into "scary" stories. Goosebumps books were my favorite for so long then when I read most of those, I started to read Nancy Drew Books!
Over time, I stopped reading as much as I did before. I remember thinking, that I wished I kept reading and discovering new books. As an adult now, I would definitely tell my younger self to never stop reading!
Moral Of this Short Story: Never Stop Reading. Reading is so much more than assignments and stories!
