The Munich Conference
Let us take over land!
We have no choice. They are too powerful!
Hitler held a meeting called the Munich Conference and invited the British, French, and Mussolini.
Because they feared Germany’s power, the French and British accepted Hitler’s demand that the Sudetenland be joined with Germany. This is known as appeasement.
After the appeasement, Czechoslovakia was left defenseless and Germany was able to easily take it over. They also gained more land in Lithuania and Mussolini invaded Albania.
