  • That was close! But why was that man just in the middle of the road!
  • Ronald Adams is leaving home to go to California. he is saying goodbye to his mother. she's worried sick about him, and tells him to be careful.
  • Rising Action
  • H-Hello? Mother, is that you?
  • Ronald Adams is now on the Brooklyn Bridge, it's raining, but he's eager for his new adventure. He comes across a hitchhiker, and he's right in the middle of the road! Ronald veers away just in time to just miss him.
  • Climax
  • No, this is Mrs. Whitney. Mrs. Adams is at the hospital, she had a nervous breakdown after her son, Ronald Adams in a car accident on the Brooklyn Bridge.
  • Ronald is confused, he didn't expect a hitchhiker to be in the middle of the road! But, he soon forgets the events with the hitchhiker. He continues on, excited to continue the adventure he's on.
  • Resolution
  • W-what!? A-Am I d-dead?!
  • The story goes forward, Ronald is at a gas station, he's seen the hitchhiker many times, and wants to call his mother. He uses a phone booth to call home. someone picks up.
  • Ronald's mother doesn't pick up. Instead, Mrs. Whitney picks up. She says Ronald's mother has had a nervous breakdown and is in the hospital.
  • Ronald Adams finds out that he was dead the whole time. He goes into denial, he doesn't think he's going crazy, and he doesn't think he's dead. this was the end of the story, and the end of Ronald Adams.
