  • On July 14 1789, the people of France stormed the prison, the Bastille. The castle was a symbol of absolute despotism.* The people were looking for guns and gun powder to use in the revolution.*
  • Get the weapons!!
  • The people of France started to attack when they saw the unfairness of the feudal dues.* They were the only people who had to pay these taxes. Some didn't even have the money.
  • I'm tired of paying all these unfair taxes!!
  • The people were done with the way King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were running France. They went on trial and were sentenced to death. On January 21,1793 King Louis was executed and on October 16, 1793 his wife, Marie Antoinette was executed.
  • Finally!
  • Justice!!
