When Johnny gets home his parents ask how his day was. He doesn't want to spend time talking and instead heads to his room to be alone.
In his room, Johnny can play games and be as energetic as he wishes. He doesn't have to stay at a desk, as he does at school. He feels happy in his own space.
His mom visits him to see if he has done his homework. Johnny says he doesn't want to and goes back to playing.
His mom tries telling him to get started on his work. Johnny doesn't understand why he can't be left alone. At home he just wants to be himself and his parents can't seem to understand his wants.
At dinner, his mom continues asking questions. Johnny does not want to sit at the table long. He gives short replies and hopes to be excused to his room.
His mom instead tells him to be still and stop playing with his food. Johnny gets upset and leaves the table.
