  • Long ago  Zimbabwe was called Rhodesia  and was under racist, white minority rule.
  • Many laws were passed  to take away land and rights from black Rhodesians  such as the Land Apportionment Act of 1930,  Land Husbandry Act of 1951, and  Unlawful Organization Act of 1959
  • In 1963  the political party  ZANU was formed   shortly after the Wind of Change  speech  and  later on Robert Mugabe became the leader of ZANU
  • Ian  Smith was the  Prime Minister  and leader of the Rhodesian Front  who stopped at nothing to keep black rhodesians  out of power.
  • Whites are superior! There will never be majority rule!
  • Seven  ZANU guerrilla  fighters fought in the Battle of Sinoia  in 1966 taking out a  base of operations  of the  Rhodesian Front...
  • A year before the Battle of Sinoia Ian Smith delcared UDI in order to keep white minority rule,  officially starting the Bush War.
  • Unilateral  Declaration  of Independence!
