Ron breaks into a millionaire's home and steals expensive jewelry. Ron is caught on the surveillance footage but escapes before the police arrive.
The police arrive at the crime scene and find enough evidence to present to the grand jury. Ron leaves town after they send out the warrant for his arrest.
Ron's twin brother, Mike, is arrested because they believe he is the criminal due to his and his brother's similar features. The district attorney offers him a plea bargain, which is six months in prison and a $500 fine, and he declines.
While the district attorney is gathering evidence, they conclude that Mike is not guilty due to a fingerprint test. Mike is free!
Ron is found in San Francisco and is arrested. The process begins all over again. The district attorney offers Ron a plea bargain, but he declines and states he is innocent.
The overwhelming amount of evidence against Ron leads to him being found guilty during the trial. He is sentenced to two years in prison, and is given parole.
