Weapons and Tactics
The Battle of Guilford Court House was a battle fought on March 15, 1781, at a site which is now in Greensboro, during the American Revolutionary War. It was a pyrrhic victory. It was fought because the British needed control of something.
An example of one would be Baron von Steuben, who was Prussian. He provided military help, improved the discipline of American soldiers and joined the Continental Army. He has a county named after him in upstate New York.
Some examples of basic weapons include muskets, pistols, bayonets, cannons and swords. A canteen of water, boxes of flints, and a knapsack holding candles are some of the equipment used. Tactics such as the guerrilla tactic, a sneak attack on a larger force, were used during the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
Some methods of spying were invisible ink, ciphers, codes and mask letters. For ciphers and codes, some spies created a pocket book guide to decipher the codes. Some also used Etnick's Dictionary to decode a message.
