Tom moves to Boston and becomes a well liked usurer among adventurers, speculators, and merchants. he runs people dry with his high interest rates.
He built himself a lavish house for himself with his wealth.
The consequences of toms actions catch up to him and his fears set in. he realizes that he will be damned for eternity because of his mistakes and does everything he can to make up for it.
one day a land-jobber came to ask tom for an more time to pay off his loan, tom refused saying "The devil take me if i have made a farthing!"
And take he did.
The devil came with his horse and threw tom up onto it, the horse took off bringing him back to the swamp. Tom Walker was never seen again.
