- What? Oh no, this looks like a job for...
- The Exposer! I write against corrupt government officials by writing and exposing those who don't deserve the positions they hold.
- Hello I am Lincoln Steffens and I will write magazine articles to bring awareness and stop the corruption
- Your plan may have gotten a lot of people to hate me, but I have connections. It's going to take more than that to get me out of office.
- Señor Law! Can you help us out?
- Doctor Deception represents all corrupt government officials. A man walking by overhears him talking and knows what he has to do.
- I can use my talent with laws to enact the 17th amendment!
- We defeated you and your corrupt officials, now everyone knows about your shady plans.
- The man is actually The Exposer and he teams up with his sidekick Lincoln Steffens to fight Doctor Deception.
- They alone cannot defeat Doctor Deception, as he knows other people in government that can help him keep his job. So The Exposer calls in Señor Law for backup.

- The Exposer brings in Señor Law to enact the 17th amendment and defeat Doctor Deception for good.

- In reality, people like Lincoln Steffens and Jacob Riis helped to make the public aware of corrupt officials and practices which served to make the government fairer for everyone.
- The 17th amendment was passed on April 8, 1913, and in doing so greatly helped reduce patronage and changed how the American people are involved with our government that can still be seen today.
