  • "Of course they had issued the arrest warrant. They had hoped to frighten the pesky school techer into closing her school. Buyt they'd never intended to send prudence to jail"(62/63).

  • The difference is that they made an arest warrent, but they didn't want her tol actually get arrested. This matters because it shows that they like Prudence, they just don't like what she's doing.
