Climax: The Sniper tricks his enemy into coming out of hiding and shoots him with a revolver. "Then when the smoke cleared... He was reeling over the parapet in his death agony." (O'Flaherty)
Falling Action: The sniper crawls over to his defeated enemy because he is curios as to whom he had shot. "he felt a sudden curiosity as to the identity of the enemy sniper whom he had killed" (O'Flaherty)
Resolution: Once he reaches the body, the sniper turns it over and sees that his enemy was his own brother. "Then the sniper turned over the dead body and looked into his brother's face." (O'Flaherty)
