  • But, Aristotle did not believe in empty space. He believed all matter is made of water,fire, air, and earth
  • John Dalton proposed the Atomic Theory. He agreed with Democritus, he made a model that was a solid sphere
  • J.J. Thomson discovered the cathode ray bent towards a positively charged plate. His model resembles a cookie-like shape.
  • Ernest Rutherford shot a positive particle toward a piece of gold foil, but some of the positive particle bounced back. He found that likes repel each other.
  • James Chadwick discovered the nucleus.
  • Niels Bohr proposed hat electrons move in circular orbits. Electrons closer to the nucleus are weaker.
