It's not going to be much longer. I'm asking my mom to come down for Christmas.
Can we go see Jaz for Christmas?
We're are low on money so it's going to be your Christmas gift. So yes, if your okay with that.
This week is going to take forever to pass!
1 week until I meet Jaz!
Bailey and Jazmine (Jaz) lived 665 miles away, but they were best friends. Neither of them wanted anything more than to meet each other, and have a day full of fun together. Everyday they had long calls or facetimes saying how much they wanted to meet.
A blizzard is coming, take cover!
Both of them asked their mom if they could go down to see the other. That's when Bailey's mom said yes! Although Bailey hated keeping things from her best friend, she wanted to surprise her.
Your salt trucks went right off of our highway not dropping salt on the road and now we're stuck!
I'm so sorry ma'am!
Instantly, Bailey ran to her room and made a countdown to January 3rd. Each day would pass and each day Bailey got more and more excited. She was so excited that in just a couple weeks, she would be seeing her best friend face to face for the first time ever.
When January 3rd came around, Bailey and her mom left to surprise Jaz. While on the road, 300 miles away from home, in Minnesota, a blizzard struck ground causing everyone to have to stop where they were.
After the storm finally passed and the roads were salted, Baileys mom tried to go, but her car was stuck in a bunch of snow the never melted. They called a salt truck guys to come clear the highway they were on.
About two hours passed and the roads finally got cleared. It had put the Stanleys trip on hold and were now behind track. They stopped for the night to get some rest and they would finish the 365 miles tomorrow morning and arrive in Canada at noon.
