before agriculture the humans lived in caves and were called nomads. the men would travel miles and miles away from home just to get food. the woman would stay away from home all day collecting berries and any thing that they can eat. Most of the babies would die and life sucked.
laws and comunity
When farming came along the humans didn't have to move every month or so and life was getting better. Also the people could have a variety of food and could keep the population of animals high enough.
surplus of food
Then after farming people could actually take the time to build a permanent home. The people could relax and spent time with there families. Also the babies would mostly survive. Life was mostly pretty good.
after permanent shelters came along humans needed to make laws so the community didn't deteriorate. life sucked for the people getting caught breaking the laws but for every one else it was great.
The results of farming gave people a surplus of food and now the people were really settled in to there new homes. Humans figured out how multitask in a community. Some would fish others would hunt and others would care for the farms. Life was much much better.
Then different villages of people figured out that they could trade with the things that were strong in there villages and weak in other peoples villages. Life was great!
