  • Macbeth is nervously waiting for the signal to murder Duncan.
  • ZzZzZzz
  • Is this a dagger which I see before me, The handle toward my hand?
  • Macbeth is in the act of murdering King Duncan.
  • Hear it not, Duncan; for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven, or to hell.
  • I have done the deed.
  • These deeds must not be thought after these ways; so, it will make us mad.
  • Macbeth has killed Duncan and Lady Macbeth tells him that they should not think about the murder anymore because it could make them mad.
  • Macbeth shall sleep no more!
  •  Go get some water, and wash this filthy witness from your hand.
  • Macbeth feels that his guilt will not let him sleep again. Lady Macbeth thinks his strength will carry him forward and she wants him to wash the evidence off of his hands.
  • I'll go no more; I am afraid to think what i have done
  • The sleeping and the dead are but as pictures; 
  • Macbeth feels guilt, but Lady Macbeth doesn't think they should have anything to fear from the dead.
