I don't want to go to school, everyone will stare at me.
This school will be great. The principal seems really nice.
What will everyone think of me? Will they stare, or will they laugh?
If they stare, let them stare.
Good luck August
August Pullman had been homeschooled all his life and didn't like his mom's suggestion of Beecher Prep for 5th grade.
August worries about what the people will think of him at school. August has some health issues, which causes his face to look different, and he has worn his astronaut helmet since he was very young.
His family comes to drop him off at Beecher Prep. Even though school will have some hardships, he was very brave to go to a public school. At school, August experiences a bully, but also finds some friends.
