- Definition: Shifting sexual or aggressive impulses toward a more acceptable or less threatening object or person.-Erick is projecting his mom's bad day on himself and now is in a bad mood, and ends up being rude to his sister.

- PROJECTION
- Definition: Describing one's own threatening impulses by attributing them to others.-The mom is pressuring Carlos to be the best through projecting her own insecurities of when she was young like him.
- But mom you always got B's and C's in school why are you pressuring me so much?!
