  • American Success and British Settlement
  • This Yorktown place is pretty nice! Hopefully those Americans don't find us.
  • Trapping the British
  • You are now trapped!
  • General Washington sent General Nathanael Greene to slow down the British in southern areas. The size of the American army was very small compared of the size of the British, so General Greene headed south saying, “We fight, get beat, rise, and fight again.”
  • Do the British Recieve Help?
  • We can't give up yet, there must be people on their way to help us!
  • The Americans were successful, and the British settled in Yorktown, but little did they know, the Americans had help from the French on their way.
  • The British Surrender
  • Secretly, Washington moved his troops south, where the French came by sea, and they were able to surround the British in Yorktown.
  • Ceremony
  • We did it!
  • Cornwallis and the British troops were awaiting for help, but unfortunately for the British, got none.
  • Since the British recieved no help, they had no other options but to surrunder, and ultimately, the Americans won.
  • We won!! We won!!
  • Not yet! This doesn't mean instant freedom.
  • A ceremony takes places with the French lined on one side with the Americans on the other as the British marched through, but Cornwallis hid as he claimed to be sick.
