  • In ancient Rome the geography was very rocky with lots of hills. Rome was next to the Tiber river and its on the Italian peninsula.   
  • Influence of Etruscan Engineering 
  • Romulus and Remus were two brothers who built Rome while trying to name the city they got in an argument. Romulus killed Remus during the argument.    
  • Greek Influence on Roman Architecture  
  • Etruscan people influenced Roman sports. Some of the sports were Gladiator fighting and chariot racing.   
  • Greek influence on writing art and religion 
  • The Romans adopted the design of the arch from the Etruscan people. The Etruscan also had the cuniculus that the Romans adopted. The cuniculs was a irrigation system.    
  • That is an archway. 
  • Romans used Greek architecture to build some of there greatest buildings like the Colosseum. The columns were a big similarity in both cultures architecture.    
  • Like the Greeks the Romans wrote in all caps. Both the Greeks and Romans carved important messages into walls.
