  • Hello! I am Abraham Lincoln! 
  • Military Leadership
  • I am a military leader, Ulysses S. Grant.
  • Military Strategy
  • YOU MAY NOT TRADE
  • A significant political leader was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was also the 16th President of the United States. He was a Republican that opposed the expansion of slavery. Sadly, southerners disagreed with his opposing and he was killed in 1865 by John Wilkes Booth. 
  • Advantage 
  • I work in an industrial factory! I make shoes for the soldiers
  • Ulysses S. Grant was an important military leader. Grant was a leader in the Battle of Shiloh. He led the Union to victory during the battle.
  • Disadvanage 
  • I've never been to war...
  • The North decided to proceed with the Anaconda Plan. The plan was to create a blockade to prevent the South from trading with the rest of the world. The army would divide and try to cut off communication between the Confederate states. 
  • Advantage
  • The North had several advantages during the American Civil War. The North had 90% of the nation's factories. The factories manufactured many things. The most helpful and advantageous were shoe, clothing and weapon factories. 
  • One of the disadvantages that the North had was the fact that they had inexperienced soldiers.  The South had seven of the eight military colleges in the country. 
  • Another advantage that the North had was that it had 72% of the nation's railroads. The advantage of the railroads was that they could transfer goods quicker. The other advantage was that they can move soldiers quicker and more safely.
