There's nothing I can do. The Lord will punish me if I don't hand him my dollar.
A beggar waits outside the Church, asking for money. A woman with not much to give, handed him some spare change because she had the idea that she has to be nice because she attended the mass earlier.
Could you please give me money? I've lost my livelihood.
She comes across another beggar, and she starts to think whether or not she should give her money. The beggar was handed cash because of her lack of change.
She got on a taxi heading home. In the middle of the ride, the driver asks a suspicious request.
Ma'am, could I have your wallet for just a second? I want to ask for your money because I didn't get as much income as I had yesterday.
Without giving it a second thought, she gave her wallet to the driver because she thought it was the right thing to do. Blinded by her false idea of God, she was afraid she'd be in trouble if she didn't give him her money. Not a minute later, the driver pulled over at the side of the road and ran as fast as his feet could carry him.
She was deeply upset by what had happened, and was feeling betrayed that God had allowed this to happen to her. She thought she was doing the right thing, giving alms to the needy. But it wasn't her intention to have all her pay-offs taken away from her.
A girl of approaches her and asked what's wrong, she explains to her everything that has happened. Then the girl with the green shirt responded with, "It is not God who's betrayed you, but you yourself." She was taken aback by this statement. But after a while, she realizes that God is not in control of everything around her, and that if she had to do things out of fear, then she's doing things what God did not ask of her to do.
