Lexington and Concord was so important because it was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. At first no body knew who shot first and so it was called the shot heard around the world. John Parker was the American Leader in this battle and Gage was the British.

The Americans discovered this new way of fighting which ambushed the enemy behind trees and shooting by surprise. This new method of attack was then used a lot. Francis Marion was the american leader and Lord Cornwalis was the British.

During the battle of Bunker Hill William Prescott was the commander of the Continental Army and William Howe was the British commander. The British won the battle and took the hill but, the Americans killed more than 900 soldiers.
