  • The Stamp Act
  • Here is your piece of paper but I'm sorry to inform you that the price when up due to taxation on paper products.
  • Townshend Acts
  • No taxation without representation!
  • The French and Indian war started because both the British and French wanted to extend their colonies into the land west of the Appalachian Mountains. French colonies and Indian allies fought against Britain. The French and Indian war ended in 1763 with the treaty of paris giving Britain the victory but, the cost of the war had greatly enlarged Britain's debt.
  • The Boston Massacre
  • The Stamp act was a tax that Britain passed to fix their debt they gained from the French and Indian War. The Stamp Act was passed in 1765. It was a tax that was put on all paper products sold. After the colonists rebelled the act was later repealed in 1766,
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • The Townshend Acts was an act that placed tax on glass, paint, paper, and tea. The acts were named after Charles Townshend. Charles Townshend was also a member of British parliment.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • You have broken the law so this is your consequence.
  • Although the Boston Massacre was labeled a massacre truth be told, only 5 people died that night from the shooting. In reality this event would really be considered a riot instead of a massacre.
  • The Boston Tea Party was a protest by The Sons of Liberty. It took place in Massachusetts in 1773. The purpose of the Boston Tea Party was to protest the Tea Act which was a tax placed on tea. To protest the Sons of Liberty threw all the incoming tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts were a set of regulations that the colonist had to follow as a punishment for the actions of the Boston Tea Party.  The actions of the Intolerable acts started with the closing of Boston Harbor. It also put Massachusetts under British control as well as allowing the accused British soldiers to be tried again in England.
