Storyboard Text

  • Leaving St. Lewis
  • Meeting Native Americans
  • River systems
  • Lewis and Clark had left St. Lewis on keelboats to go and make contact with the Native Americans, document the plants and animals, and find a water route to the Pacific Ocean.
  • Discovering plants
  • When Lewis and Clark had to cross the Rocky Mountains their crew about died from starvation and intense coldness, luckily the party was saved by the Nez Perce Indians tribe.
  • Discovering animals
  • While they were on their journey they went across the Columbia River. While they were on the river, they came across many rapids. As dangerous as it is the captain ran through the rapids anyways.
  • Water route discovery
  • They discovered three species of herbs, their heights being four or five feet tall, and is a beautiful green color in the summer.
  • While they were traveling through a part of the Rocky Mountains, Lewis and Clark ran into a bear, luckily none of their men were killed and the bear was shot.
  • After traveling on all of the rivers and all the interactions with Native Americans Lewis and Clark had finally found the Pacific Ocean and had mapped out their whole journey of where they went to get to it.
