  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • Lennie and George are migrant workers that move around a lot. This picture shows how Lennie and George was hiding by the river from the other workers. They were trying to capture them and possibly kill them because of the guns and horses they brought.
  • Falling Action
  • Curley was beating Lennie up and George kept yelling at him to hit him back. When Lennie finally did he fractured Curley's hand to the point where he screams for help from all the blood and pain he was in. Lennie wasn't listening when they told him to stop so they had to pull him off with force.
  • Resolution
  • George gave Lennie a puppy and promised him that he wouldn't kill it so he can prove that he's worthy enough to have it. He later then kills it by accident, he got paranoid because he wouldn't be able to have a rabbit. Lennie then ran into Curley's wife and told her what happen but then he accidentally kills her by closing her mouth so she won't scream after petting her.
  • Literary Device
  • After Lennie killed the puppy and Curley's wife he started hallucinating thinking his dead aunt Clara was actually there talking to him. After she told him he was worthless he started seeing a bunny that symbolizes what he wanted from George. The bunny basically told him that George doesn't care about him and how he wouldn't forgive him.
  • Slim, Curley, Carlson, and George went looking for Lennie but George found him first by himself. Lennie thought he was mad at him so George explains how he felt about him. George also told him that they were going to a better place where Lennie dream to be where all the bunnies were. George leave him with that thought then shot him in the back of his head.
  • Lennie found a mouse and tries to hide it from George but he spotted it in his pockets. He then told George he found it dead and he didn't kill it, Lennie wanted to keep it so he can pet it while they walk. George took it out of Lennie's pocket because he was resisting and threw it away and promise him that he would get a puppy and pet it harder than a mouse.
