  • Hi I'm Johnny and i will be taking you through ancient Greece and answering some important questions.Today we will be going over the facts and fiction of the Trojan War and how the war impacted the succes and failure of Greece.
  • For starters when most people think about the Trojan war they probably think of the Trojan horse. The story goes that the warriors of Sparta constructed a ginormous horse that the Spartans could hide in. The Horse was left outside the gates of Troy. The Troy's thinking the horse was a gift from God brought it inside and then the Spartans hoped out of the horse and attacked.
  • wether or not there was an abnormally large wooden horse , archaeologists have  found the remains of a burnt down city which they believe is troy and now that this would have been a major loss for the Trojans
  • According to some sources it is speculated that the war started when a Trojan man kidnapped a spartan princess angering the Spartans. Other people think that the war started over the possession of trade routes. One thing that is known is that the war lasted about 10 years and left the country devastated.
  • The Trojan War effected all of Greece. Even though only the Mycenaean's and the Trojans fought since this was one of the biggest fights ever located in Greece it got everyone's attention. This left burnt down buildings and destroyed homes. Even though the Mycenaean's won the war it left them very weak because of all the deaths during this war. That is how the war effected Greece.
