  • The key people in thee war of 1812 were Tecumseh, James Madison, Francis Scott Keys, Harrison Otis, Andrew Jackson, and Dolly Payne Todd Madison.

  • Francis Scott Keys was a lawyer who was there to witness the War of 1812. As he was watching the war he begsn writing a poem. When the war was over he inished and called it "Star Spangled Banner." It later became Americas National Anthem.
  • Tecumseh was a Native American who led a remnant of the confederation into an alliance with the British. They were later defeated by the Americans. Tecumseh was killed and the other Native Americans retreated.
  • The War of 1812 was a battle between the British and the Americans. British wanted to restrict America from getting trade, so America decided to fight against them so they could keep their trade. Francis Scott keys was a lawyer who wrote a poem as he witnessed the war. The poem later became America's National Anthem.
