The longhorn cattle was important to the Texas cattle industry because the Spanish breeds mixed with English cattle brought by U.S. settlers.The animals could endure the hot weather and cold weather.Not only that they could survive on very little water.Longhorns were resistant to the cattle disease mostly called Texas fever.
The significance of the strike at the Spindletop was very exciting for a lot of people,the year people found all of the Oil was in 1902.The place they found the oil was near Beaumont. Like I said the discovery was very exciting for a lot of people and it had a lot of growth. :)
The new technology helped farmers adapt to farming in the 1840s because now they can break through hard soil.This left loose soil on top to allow crops to absorb moisture in the air.In the 1800s farmers started using windmills to pump water for crop irrigation.Threshers-machines that separated grain or seeds from plants,and it made harvesting easier and faster so that they don’t spend hours trying to remove the grains and seeds.
