The Phantom Tollbooth is a book by Susan Nanus. When Milo is just sitting in his room this package appears and he gets in his little red car and drives off.
On his way, Milo meets Tock, who is a watchdog. Tock tells Milo all about king Azaz and the Math Magician and how they vanished Ryhme and Reason from the kingdoms because they said that numbers and letters had equal value.
Run! The demons are coming!
Then Milo and Tock come across the Humbug. They are in Dictionopolis and Tock, Milo, and the Humbug, all have dinner with King Azaz. Milo brings up Rhyme and Reason and then King Azaz go tells them to go to the Math Magician and ask him if the princesses can be let out.
When Milo, Tock, and the Humbug arrive in Digitopolis the Math Magician agrees that they need Rhyme and Reason back. The Mathmagician gave them a magic set to help them to get through their journey.
After Milo, Tock, and the Humbug escape from the demons they get caught by more demons right before they get Rhyme and Reason. It was close, but they escape the demons, and they all start heading back to Digitopolis.
Milo, Tock, and the Humbug all get cheered for by the people for bringing back Rhyme and Reason. Then, Milo has to return home, but he said that he will promise to come back. The end.
