The Intolerable Acts was punishment for the colonists starting the Boston Tea Party. It was a set of taxes put on the colonists. More taxes would deepen the anger the colonists had for the British. This would cause the revolution.
Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. This was used to encourage the American people to gain Independence from Great Britain. This would convince the reluctant colonists to start a revolution.
