We even went hunting a few times for deer and rabbits. The deer were for food, but the rabbits were mainly for sport since they didn't have a sufficient amount of meat on them.
There is no way you can get the rabbit from here.

One hunting trip I remember especially well. We were hiking up the fourth mountain that day, when we saw a deer...and met a bear.
ROAR!
That was close. Luckily, the bear decided to leave us alone and we were able to track the deer down. We had a few more close calls with bears and sea lions, but luckily, they are not as vicious as they would have us think.
It was definitely good to come back home, but I would never hesitate to return to Alaska. There I finally got to have adventures I only dreamt of at home.
