Because of their feelings, Alex and Brodie leave before they could be swept into the crowd going to the Generos' house for food and sympathy.
On the way home from Pauline's funeral service, Hannah catches up to Brodie and Alex. She asks Brodie to come on a walk to see bats with her. Reluctantly, he says yes. As the two of them watched the bats overhead, Hannah admitted that she was the one that left the note and towels. She assured Brodie that everything would turn out okay if he told his parents and Raoul. After her assuring words of encouragement, she kissed him on the cheek.
We'll get through this together!
After his encounter with Hannah, Brodie told his parents and Raoul what really happened at the Toadstool. His parents were shocked and angry but told him that they still loved him. Raoul said that there would have to be an inquiry and that the press could not wait to get their hands on this. He was very disappointed in Brodie. In the end, Brodie knew that everything would work out fine because his parents would support him to the end.
