Curley's wife "'If he ain't, I Guess I better look someplace else,' she said playfully. Lennie watched her , fascinated. George said, 'If I see him, I'll pass the word you was looking for him.' She smiled archly and twitched her body. ' Nobody can't blame a person for lookin',' she said." Page 31
Slim "Slim sat down on a box across the table form George. He studied the solitare hand that was upside down to him. 'Hope you get on my team,' he said. His voice was very gentle. ' I gotta pair of punks on my team that don't know a barley bag from a blue ball." Page 34
Curley "' let the big guy talk.' Lennie twisted with embarrassment. George said, 's'pose he don't want to talk?' Curley lashed his body around. ' By Christ. he's gotta talk when he's spoken to. What the hell are you gettin' into if for?' Page 25
George "Be a dam good thing if you was,' George said viciously. 'Save ever'body a hell of a lot of trouble.'' you said I was your cousin, George'' Well, that was a lie. An' I'm damn glad it was. If I was a realitive of yours I'd shoot myself." Page 23 and 24
Lennie "'I forgot,' Lennie said softly. 'I tried not to forget Honest to God I did , Gorege.' ' O.K.--O.K. I'll tell ya again. I ain't got nothing to do. Might jus' as well spen' all my time tellin' you things and then you forget'em and I tell you again.'" Page 14
Candy "Candy rolled to the edge of his bunk. He reached over and patted the ancient dog, and he apoloigized, "I been around him so much I never notice how he stincks." Page 44
