  • Is it possible for a corporation to become a monopoly
  • Step in here in here I will explain to you
  • Yes, it is possible for that to happen
  • A corporation run by sole owner might need a board of directors do help fund the production of what they are selling
  • Ok, but how does that make it a monopoly that just sounds like a regular ole' corporation to me
  • So when demand is high for a businesses product, they usually raise the price
  • So if that corporation was to continue to raise the price, they would end up becoming a monopoly
  • So what keeps corporations from becoming monopolies?
  • The government puts what is called price ceilings and floors on products to keep that company from monopolizing on certain products
  • So what would have if the government hadn't put in these types of regulations
  • The company's would then buy the components to make the product and if those components went into essential items we would be with out them or that company would make them and skyrocket the price
  • Ok, that makes a lot of sense, thank you for explaining that to me
